Bexley earns top rating on school report card

Congratulations to all of the educators at Bexley schools, who have once again been recognized for their excellence. This week, the Bexley school district earned the top rating - 5 stars - on the state report cards.

This is the kind of academic excellence that Issue 36 will help maintain. The operating levy supports the teachers, staff and programming in our schools.

Beyond the overall rating, Bexley schools also earned 5 stars in these categories:

  • Achievement: Students significantly exceeded state standards in academic performance on state tests.

  • Progress: Students’ academic growth, compared to past performance, exceeded expectations.

  • Gap Closing: Closing educational gaps between different types of students, including by race, economic status and disability status

  • Graduation: With a 97% graduation rate, significantly exceeded state standards. (The graduation rate is a blended four- and five-year rate.)

  • Early Literacy: Reading improvement and proficiency levels for students in kindergarten through third grade.
